Now you might have seen that I gave our bedroom a makeover a few weeks ago. I was so happy with how it turned out apart from one thing, the light shade.
I had a bamboo basket that I had sprayed black and turned in to a light shade but it just didn’t feel right. The room has a bohemian feel and I love the calm vibe it produces so I wanted to find a light to reflect that style and it turns out Wayfair had just the one!
The pendant light I chose was called Lucy 1-light mini pendant by Endon Lighting.
Obviously I read the reviews before I ordered it which were good so I was really excited to receive it.
When I opened the box I wasn’t prepared for just how beautiful it was going to be, I even did a little happy clap. 👏🏻
The first thing I have to talk about is the texture of it, I was expecting a smooth sanded wooden light, but no, this one is rough and textured and I love that about it. It has it a natural, raw edge, which is just perfect for the room.
The website image didn’t prepare me for just how interesting it would be, with all the different knots visible, producing a variety of tones in the wood.
My dad came round to hang it for me, which was hilarious because it’s above my bed which is memory foam, so standing under it to fit it was a huge challenge. We ended up putting my footstool from downstairs across the bed upside down and then the ironing board across that so that my dad could stand on it! 🙈 I then had to hold the light up (which is fairly heavy) and after about 30 seconds my arms felt like they were going to drop off, so I ended up balancing it on my head to support it!
After a bit of fiddling around with the wires and the smallest screws known to man we managed to get the light fixed to the ceiling!
Then, it was the moment of truth, with bated breath, we turned the electricity back on and I flicked the switch. To my (and my dads) delight, it lit up, thank god for that!
During the day the room is full of natural daylight so luckily we don’t need a bright light in there. Because the pendant is solid wood the light is directed downwards meaning it is perfect for rooms that don’t need a lot of illuminating, like a bedroom or living room.
I’m so pleased with it, I am really loving the natural, earthy (if that’s even a word) style incorporated in to interiors at the moment.
Whilst browsing for a light I found a few others that caught my eye within the Endon lighting range at Wayfair so I thought I would share some of my favourites with you.
I especially love this Demi glass lamp base, it’s a stand alone big, beautiful piece but also so simple that you could pair it with a stunning statement shade.
Another favourite is this Ford Pendant Light, I think it would look incredible in an industrial style kitchen or dining room. I love everything about it, the shape, the colour, the texture. I just wish I had a need for it.
And last but by no means least, this Nadina Pendant Light is a show stopper. The mesh is really on trend and again would look great in an industrial, rustic or eclectic home.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of my favourite lighting picks from The Endon Lighting range at Wayfair.
Until next time,
Hayley

This lamp shade is amazing 😍
We’ve gone for industrial style lamps for most of our rooms but I really love this earthy bohemian look too!
