You may have seen on Instagram that I had the pleasure of whizzing around in a new MINI Cooper from the family run official MINI dealership Dick Lovett in Hungerford the other week.
Some of you might be thinking where on earth is Hungerford?
Hungerford is a historic market town, 8 miles west of Newbury in Berkshire. It’s very beautiful and full of quaint shops, so well worth a visit and if you fancy treating yourself to a MINI whilst you’re there, well… it can assist with that too!
Hungerford, Berkshire
Now when Dick Lovett MINI got in touch to see if I’d like to work with them to raise awareness of their Hungerford branch in and around Andover, I jumped at the chance. Dick Lovett have other branches around Berkshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire too.
My mum has had a few MINI’s that I have had the pleasure of driving so I knew I’d be in for a fun ride.
What I didn’t realise was just how fun!
Now, I’m not a petrol head in the slightest, if I’m honest, the colour and shape are the main things I ever looked at when buying a car in the past and as long as it could get me from A to B I never really had much preference…. until now.
When I collected the MINI, one of Dick Lovett’s very lovely and knowledgable sales assistant’s showed me how to navigate around the inside car. I felt like a kid in the cockpit of a plane, so many buttons I wanted to press, which to some may look overwhelming, until you realise that every button is there for your ease and to ensure your eyes stay firmly on the road ahead.
Now can we just take a moment to appreciate the colour of the car… Emerald Grey. It’s not your typical shade of grey, it’s a warm, almost champagne like colour, but with a vintage feel which I personally love for a modern take on a classic car like a MINI.
Everything about driving this car is like liquid gold, the gear change is smooth, it’s nippy, easy to park, spacious, and best of all, it’s intelligent.
It tells your phone where it’s parked so you never lose it in a car park, you can press a button on the steering wheel and ask for directions, you can WhatsApp your friends and family without even looking at your phone. There are holograms of the MINI logo that shine down from the wing mirror allowing you to find your keys in the dark…. need I go on?
This particular MINI Cooper included the ‘excitement pack’ which you can read more about here.
Oh and Apple play… how will I live without you?
My two boys LOVED the MINI and didn’t quite understand why we had to hand it back, which I guess means it was a hit for them as passengers too!
I would 100% consider buying a MINI in the future, especially now I know I have a team of experts to help just 30 minutes away at Dick Lovett MINI, Hungerford, who by the way offer a no strings attached 48 hour test drive as standard, so you can fully explore the car before you commit.
I’d love to hear your experience of driving or owning a MINI!
Until next time
Hayley
