Where to buy vintage furniture…

Vintage furniture will never go out of fashion, it’s unique, normally great quality and best of all, by buying it you are actually recycling and who wouldn’t want to do their bit to save our planet whilst filling our home with stylish pieces?

So where should you look? Well, antique dealers are always a good place to start, they know their stuff after all but in 2019 we are fortunate enough to find stunning pieces of vintage furniture at the end of our finger tips thanks to the internet.

Soho Home not only sells brand new furniture and beautiful accessories for your home, they source and sell high end vintage furniture too.

Here are a few of my favourite vintage pieces from Soho Home’s website…

Although from different era’s all of these pieces speak to me and you could easily incorporate them in to a modern day home. The mid century bamboo drinks trolley is my absolute favourite, I mean what a seriously cool piece of furniture to grace your home! Sadly for us, this one has sold but the silver lining is that Soho Home can help source something similar.

I also adore the Danish Art Deco style button back chair it’s utterly timeless and would compliment any style decor.

If you prefer to see and feel vintage and antique furniture before you purchase then you can find your local antique dealers here.

Alternatively, selling sites such as eBay, gumtree and pre-loved offer an abundance of vintage and antique furniture and homeware, I’ve found some great items using these sites but unfortunately you can end up with some low quality pieces too, so you’ll need to do your homework and thoroughly check what you’re buying before you commit.

Here are some ways I’ve incorporated vintage furniture in to our home.

Until next time,

Hayley
