Snug – The Sofa in a Box Company Review…

{Ad}*

I recently transformed our dining room that we hardly ever used, in to a cosy snug/cinema room that we now spend time in every day.

One of the main features of the room is a gorgeous, Taupe Velvet Corner Sofa from the revolutionary ‘Sofa in a Box Company’, SNUG.

I’m sure you have seen SNUG sofa’s gracing your social media feed’s recently but if this is the first time you have come across them, let me give you a bit of background info.

SNUG isn’t a brand that’s been around for long but it’s sister company Bridgman furniture is a family run business that was founded over 40 years ago, so we can all rest assured that they have what it takes to make beautiful, functional furniture.

Now let’s talk about their unique selling point… ‘A Sofa in a Box.’ I mean, what a genius idea! The fact that you can build this sofa yourself in a matter of minutes, allowing you to easily transport it in to any room you like is my idea of heaven!

Now, you might be a bit like me and prefer to see, feel and more importantly sit on a sofa before you commit to it, which is why I was ecstatic to find out that within each branch of Bridgman furniture is a SNUG showroom. I popped along to my local store in Winchester and was so glad I did. The service I received was outstanding and the sofa’s and snuggle chairs were all beautiful, comfortable and stylish. You can find your local Bridgman Furniture store here.

SNUG sofa’s are modular, meaning you can cater each one to your needs and home. We went for a two seater, corner and snuggler, combined to make a corner sofa, and the great thing is, we can chop and change as our requirements adjust over the years.

There are two styles, The Rebel and The newest member of the SNUG family, The Big Chill. Now let’s talk about the fun part, choosing the fabric! There are an array of colours to choose from, including the latest shade, Turmeric, which is a gorgeous mustard colour. If you love the thought of a velvet sofa but are nervous about keeping it clean then don’t be, my husband spilt Rosé wine on ours and it came off with just a damp cloth. I was seriously impressed. This also means we don’t have to be worried about our children and dogs sitting on it too.

You might be thinking, ok this sounds too good to be true and honestly if I didn’t have a SNUG sofa I’d probably be thinking the same, but seriously, I cannot fault them. Comfortable, stylish, practical. They have NAILED it! Don’t just take my word for it though, check out the reviews on the SNUG website too.

Oh one quick tip, make sure you book a slot at your local recycling centre the day or day after you delivery as depending on what sofa you go for, you’ll probably have lots of cardboard to dispose of!

I hope I’ve covered everything but if you have any questions, please give me a shout.

Until next time,

Hayley x

Review is really helpful! Would love to know your opinion again now its been about 6months. How is it lasting? Is it bouncing back? Any regrets or are you still just as happy as you was when you brought it? Thanks

Still absolutely love it. It’s kept it’s shape and best of all you can wipe any marks straight off! X

Hi, I’m also planning to get this corner sofa as it fits perfectly in the space in our kitchen. Great to know it’s kept it’s shape so far. The Taupe velvet is by far my preferred colour option but I am worried about how well it will hold up in a high traffic area and if it will look grubby quite quickly. Would be interested to get your thoughts. Thank you!

Hi, apologies for delay in coming back to you. The fabric is extremely easy to clean, even wine comes off without a struggle. I would highly recommend.

Thanks for the review after living with the most uncomfortable DFS for the past few years we are hopefully going to buy a Snug sofa.
Please can I ask if you’re able to sink right in and feel comfy or are the seat cushions quite firm? Our settee at the minute is too deep as I’m only 5ft 1 and I can’t reach the back cushion and this hurts my back. Are you able to sit in a normal seated position without putting your legs up to the side or just lying on it?
Sorry for all the questions I’m just nervous about getting it wrong again…. x

Really helpful. Tried them in the showroom and they are very comfortable.
It would be good to have a few more colour choices but understand why the business model probably does not allow for too many.
Would love them to do a pale sky blue.

    Hi,
If you move the sofa around, does it fall apart? It’s just that it looks like it’s so easy to put together, I wouldn’t want it to collapse if I moved it to vacuum 🙂
